In our recent study into the STEM experience, STEM Gateway found that women at UNM are only half as likely to enter non-health STEM disciplines as men.  Those who do are then 36% more likely to switch out of STEM.  Eileen Pollack's fascinating essay explains many of the factors influencing STEM equity for women in higher education.

CTLB Offers New Learning Opportunities

UNM recently unveiled our new Collaborative Teaching and Learning Building on the main campus.  This exciting new building provides instructors with learning studios in which to offer active-learning courses.  Congratulations to Gary Smith and Audriana Stark for their contributions towards this wonderful campus addition, and for speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony.  Good work!
